{"id":30,"date":"2023-06-26T21:56:26","date_gmt":"2023-06-26T21:56:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/supersustainable.stir.ac.uk\/?page_id=30"},"modified":"2023-06-28T19:57:34","modified_gmt":"2023-06-28T19:57:34","slug":"policy-recommendations","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/supersustainable.stir.ac.uk\/?page_id=30","title":{"rendered":"Policy Recommendations"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The comparative analysis of the three case studies assessed in this project has led to meaningful policy recommendations for establishing powerful and effective <em>Super-Networks<\/em>:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Super-Networks work across policy fields and build a collaborative network structure above individual networks: In this way, they lobby state actors from above (via the Super-Network) and from below (via individual networks)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Collaboration across policy fields can accelerate information exchange and learning from each other, enhance legitimacy and empower civil society<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Diversity is a key strength: if very different civil society organizations speak with one voice, it becomes more difficult for state actors to ignore or neglect their demands<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Utilizing a package approach can be effective in international negotiations: this means focusing all interactions with state representatives on one concrete package of demands<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A package message that is focused on human rights and humanitarian principles will most likely resonate with a majority of states<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Brokers with experience in different policy fields can initiate and foster cross-policy collaboration<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Local experiences, knowledge and testimonials are crucial for achieving policy change<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>While the work of super-networks is multi-scalar, the role of local actors in these coalitions needs to be strengthened<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strengthening the inclusion of local actors via digital technologies, translation and interpretation, travel stipends and funding for participation in international negotiations needs to be further explored<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The comparative analysis of the three case studies assessed in this project has led to meaningful policy recommendations for establishing powerful and effective Super-Networks:<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"parent":0,"menu_order":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"","meta":{"footnotes":""},"class_list":["post-30","page","type-page","status-publish","hentry"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.9 -
